WOW!! are you kidding me? We've heard many times of the great hog huntin in Texas up here in Missouri, but never THAT good!! Where in Texas? and speaking of whiich, me and some buddies from up here, were ready to come on down to claude tx., and hunt later this month, but were informed today that because of extreme drought, there are no hogs!. Claude is up around Amarillo. Any suggestions on where to go and who to contact? We're ready to go....http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/confused.gif

Those hogs had gathered on some irrigated land that only had two small brushy areas for them to escape to. There were 18 hunters and 12 dogs andI understanad that the coordination to keep it safe was pretty intensive..! My place suffers from extreme drought conditions and we have gone from killing 200 a year to 30 last year. Hogs do require a reasonable amount of water at least in the form of tanks (ponds) and all of the water on our place has dried up except for one small place.
