This is my first barrow hog and the biggest I've got in a while. He came in just before it was too dark to shoot without lighting him up. He is (was) very old. 2 messed up feet, broke left cutter, fat whetters, long-haired face, and very worn-down teeth.
Impact...

Missing and Curled Up Rear Hoof...

I'm wondering if he was snared which might of lead to the condition of his rear hoof. Never snared hogs before, so I'm not sure. Any ideas?...
It was too dark to get decent video, but I did manage to get a little skeetchy-stuff. It's was actually much darker than the video appears, the light level has been digitally enhanced.
Note:Also that out of 1 min. & 28 seconds of footage of this boar eating, he stopped and looked in different directions a total of 17 times. That's 1 'danger look' every 5.1 seconds. A true testament to how wary and keen these older hogs can be.
