Im going to do my best to update this thread as I can thru the weekend to keep this a semi live hunt for those of you playing the home game.

The hunters have arrived and are ready to hunt despite the rain.

Weather has dampened some of our plans to hunt tonight, so were going to our immediate plan of hunting the Langley Ranch.

I had mentioned the considered of tonight being a social night. Instead of hunting just staying inside outof the weather and ejoying everyones company. We have all weekend to hunt. However, our guests of honor have decided that despite the downpour they will hunt reguardless.

So this evening about 5:30 the hunters will gather at the Langley Ranch for this evenings hunt.

I have a feeling we will have hogs on the ground by dark.

Ill post more as I know it.

I just got inside and figured Id update. I dont have pics but I bet someone will post them soon.

Three hogs killed this evening. Everyone had and opportunity, saw hogs and took shots. One good blood trail was found on one, other two showed no sign. We gave each shot a good tracking job, but came up empty handed. Blood trailing was difficult due to so much rain.

All boars killed this evening: 207lb, 200lb and a 139lb

Breakfast is at 8 in the morning, lunch is planned around noon. Early afternoon will be spent playing on fourwheelers and mud buggies in the creeks. Tomorrow evenings hunt will be a night hunt with night vision and thermal imaging scopes. Should be another eventful day for these guys. Hopefully pics will come soon.

Well, I just got home from the hunt. I must say despite the rain, I believe everyone is having a great time, I know I sure did !!! The 5 hunters didn't seem at all bothered by the rain. They have some great spirits and were very eager to get out and hunt. We had 3 hogs in the freezer and a VERY good meal in our bellies by the time I left. I met a lot of great people and made some new friends. I don't want to say too much and spoil the "official" post but I would like to say Thank You- to Neill, the Corbins, Gary and Sue, Joe Langley and everyone else who made this thing possible and especially to the soldiers who serve our country. Sorry I have no pics to post.

I just ended a very successful day. Hunters took 2 hogs tonight making the hunt a total success. I left the camp a little before 10 tonight and they were headed out for the night hunt. With the weather giving us a break they just might have a highly successful night. Im sure todays pics will be posted soon.

This was great weekend. My family and I enjoyed giving a little bit back to these brave men that have given so much for this county and WE have a debt to repay them. There were also alot of people in the back ground ,helping out that makes the job of helping putting one of shindigs things look easy.
I would like to thank my wife Carol that washed a pile of dishes for three days and cleaned after me,Margret Moneyhon(cooks helper),Dee(neill's girlfreiend)The go too girl when something needed done(from store runner to chopping up things for me),Pewee Lewis-allround handy man,Kevin Ellis and David Simms (the last minute guides and campfire singers),Brad Vick (for helping with hog cooking),B&B foods(Jewett ,TX),Riffino Meats(Bryan,TX),Ben E. Keith Dist.(Budlight and drinks) and all the others that helped

But most important is Neill (Texas Hog Hunter.Com)You guy's will never know how much work he put in on this thing, the worry, hard work, phone Calls(all I did was cook)

This guy deserves ALL the credit of this being a success

I want to give a Big thanks to all the Men and Women in our armed forces that put themselves on the line for our country and us everyday.
It was an honor to get to meet some of these young men this weekend and get to know them.

I would like to thank everyone for their hospitality this weekend. You couldn't find a finer group of men and women anywhere. I got to meet alot of great people and look forward to getting together in the future for more hunting.

Jason, get home safely. Looking forward to meeting and hunting with you and more of the the soldiers that protect our country.

Thanks,
Robbie

Thank you to all of those who made the weekend such a fantastic experience! Neill, we know how much work you put into this project, and we appreciate all your efforts. We know that Dee was behind the scenes helping you out and thank her for all her help as well. Many thanks to Gary and Sue for getting the shirts made, filling the feeders and toting us around, Mike Barnett and his group for the exceptional food we all "pigged out" on, Joe Langley for starting the hunt off right. We enjoyed the music from the guys on Saturday night...thanks to everyone who came and participated. We are looking forward to another project in the future with you fine folks.
