After almost 3 years of lugging around a modified Optronics NightBlaster 350 with a 4# battery, 6 ft. cord, and only 2 minutes of run time before the thing starts to melt, I decided to make the move up.

This is 4 mini-Sniper Hawglites from Rob at http://sniperhawglights.com I had a million and one questions I asked him before making the decision to go with his lights, and not only was he very forth-coming with the answers, but honest as well. There are alot of hog light system representatives out there who will give you bogus information just to make a sale, and trust me, Rob is NOT one of those guys. We discussed the pros and cons of almost every set-up imaginable when it comes to hog hunting, I described what I needed and we came up with a solution which works beyond belief.

After getting the lights, I made a Weaver post and attached itto an aluminum plate with holes drilled in to mount the 4 lights. This set-up allows me to see 150 yds. + on a totally dark night with my scope. On a moonlit nite, it's even farther. Now I don't ever intend on taking a 100+ yd. shot at a hog at night, but having a system which allows me to see them at 150+, and then make the decision from there, is just plain awesome.

The lights will run for 1.5 hrs. at full power with NO significant heat build up or battery power drop off. You simply can NOT do this with an incandescent bulb. It will melt whatever housing you have and drain the battery LONG before the 1.5 hrs. is up. The true red led frequency is also MUCH less visible by the hogs. It's NOT invisible, but as close as one can get.

Anyway, not trying to be a salesman here as I don't have a dog in this hunt. Just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am with the new set up and it has allready produced 1 small boar. I was 60 yds. away and I only had to use 1 light. He never even blinked before the bullet hit him.....

Here are some pics of the set-up. The bracket is only a c-clamp for now, but will be welded early part of next week.....
