View Full Version : Hog Hunt a Bust But.....

My wifes and my hog hunt was a bust last night, but we did get a chance to watch the up and coming boys feed in my plots. It got too dark to get the bigger bucks in the plot as they came out just before dark. It was a good night none the less.

Thanks y'all. The bugs are realling taking a toll on the deer. Watching them for over an hr last night, all they did was shake,scratchand flip their tails. It has to be hell on their antlers with all that nice rich, tender skin up there.

The bugs are buggin' the deer here too. The deer I was watching the other evening was stomping her feet, twitching her ears, shaking her head, and even acting frustrated. It was interesting to watch but kinda made me want to lend her my Thermacell. LOL

Igot there early enough to pull my sd cards and swap them for my spares and sat and looked at the pic's on them. Nothing, absolutely nothing as far as hogs. Itook a short walk and still nothing. No rooting, no skat plies,tracks or anything. They may have been a nomad group just passing through for those couple of days. Kind of glad cause of all the money and time in the plots, but sorry my wife did not get a shot. Saw the boys in the filed so it was worthit. Gave me a goodclue as to where to hang a few more stands also.http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif We sat until midnight and only saw one coon too so things are looking up. The cams had more deer this time than coons too.

sounds like your hunting area has got it all going on, ho hogs, no coons are great for your deer hunting area
