Would anyone be interested in doing a THH member 3D archery shoot at a central location in Texas?

Gary mentioned a place in Centerville, Tx called Extreme Archery.

I'm for it. I've only shot 3-d one time at an LSBA shoot. So I'm sure my score will be toast.

Working on it now guys. Sent Mike a message for contact info. Let's see how many are interested in doing it. I am in and will be like busted, my score will be toast unless you make the 12 ring any part of the kill zone. LMAO

I was kinda thinking if the 12 ring was any part of the target....

Ijust talked to Mark and he said that we could do it for the members only if we wanted to do it. We could do a 2 day for 20 bucks ea and could make a members only weekend out of it. Campfire, cookout and all. He is planning on another 3D shoot towards the end of June to get ready for the LSBA regional at his place. We could do it that weekend or pick one for ourselves and do it that way. If we do it at one of his shoots, the winner of ea catagory gets a $25.00 gift Cert to his shop. He also has the iron pig target. 5 bucks for 3 shots and the winner of that gets a 50 cert. Y'all choice. If we do one for ourselves though, we need a fair amount of guys to do it to make it worth while. Y'all lethogdude1234 know if you're interested in doing it and we'll go from there.

Thanks for all that leg work Gary. This might end up being a big thing...we will play it by ear. Ya'll just let me know if you are interested. I would not mind shooting with other folks that are not members, if we only have a small group of guys who have the time to go....but I think it would be awesome if we could do it with members only, and do the weekend thing. On the scoring thing...I have done it like this...10 points for anything in smaller vital circle...8 points for larger vital circle...and 5 points as long as you hit the target. I reckon it is going to be just for fun, unless we come up with some prizes to give away.

Well we would have to do the money thing on the sly since it is illegal to gamble in the state of Texas......LMAO Ithink Igot a 20 Ican throw in the pot. It would just be a couple of scratchers that my wife could not buy that week. LMAO http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/shhh.gif

You would think so, but I have a rotator cuff that says otherwise. If Im able to shoot all the targets with a compound Ill be happy.

Ain't that the truth. I can't remember the last time I put myself in a position to take a shot much more than 20 yards!!! But I know it will happen one day....it is fun to shoot at foam from longer distances though...ain't it?

Hey guys...I was thinking about seeing if we could shoot a round at the targets at night at the shoot. Those of us with bow lights and like to hog hunt at night with them could use that practice...would be great to shoot at different targets at night than just the same ole Block in the same ole spot at home....what do ya'll think?

I'm in for the night shoot. FYI, "NO RANGE FINDERS OR BINO'S ALLOWED". LMAO Y'all should know where the kill zone is to start with. http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/twisted.gif
