Guys,

Check out this video by Chad Stevenson of Elusive WIldlife Technologies. These lights follow along the same lines as the tent lights Pro Staffer Cody Cauthen showed us awhile back. Check it out. You can also go to their website and see what other products they have to make your hog hunting much more fun. www.elusivewildlife.com (http://www.elusivewildlife.com)

Gary, this light seems to be exceptionally brighter than the tent light!!! I have been visiting with one of their Pro Staff Members about it, and I am hoping to be getting one soon to try out on these pigs in Montague County. This is a very awesome vid too!!!!

Anyone actually have one of these? How does it REALLY work? Does it stay on all night or work off of motion?

Imet with Chad today and talked to him for about an hr and a half. These particular lights are the first of the lights they are coming out with. They work off of your exsisting batt's for your feeders or can be run off of 4 C batts. Runtime on them is pretty impressive from the 4C cells. If you run them from the batt's you already have on your feeders and you have a good solar panel, they will run forever. These here are just an on/off style light but the ones that are being mfg'ed now have a remote to turn them on and off. Without giving anything away for this just yet, the new ones will be a great improvement to this one and will ne a great benefitfor allof us and our night time hunting. You can go to their website at: www.ewtproducts.com (http://www.ewtproducts.com)and read all about all of their great products. Ihave 3 of them right now. Shane will have one also as soon as it gets to him in the mail tomorrow. Give them a look guys. Ibelieve in them. EWT is all about a good, decently priced products and customer service. http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/clap.gif

Talking with Rob from Sniper Hawglights, he said that they actually had alot better luck with the blue lite vs the green. FRom what Ican tell is that they are alot les pronounced in the light, therefore not spooking as much. JMO

You guys just have to get out there and visit with people accociated with companies who create these products and get to know them. Watch their vids on Youtube, just be interested in what they are trying to do. They usually will be more than happy to let you test their products for them. Especially if you have a way to help them promote their products. Happy hunting to you all!!!! http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/dance.gif

Gary sent me my light, I got it in the mail, and went directly out to hunt!!!! LMAO!!!!

The Kill Light is a great source of light. It is considerably brighter than the tent light. Although I did not stay out late enough for the hogs, I left the light on, and I will check it this am to see if it is still going strong with the 4 C batts I put in it. I will also check my camera to see if any hogs did come out last night, or if the light caused them to shy away. The hogs have been regular visitors to this feeder after midnight. It will be interesting to see how long it takes these hogs to get used to the light and get back on their regular feeding pattern. I will say that the light is plenty bright for me to get some good video. If and when I am able to get the opportunity to kill one under the new light, I will post my vid on THH to show ya'll the results.

I also talked to Chad and I'm going to be getting a couple. One thing that you should remember when using a light like this is when you set it up or turn it on you need to be scent free(a pair of rubber gloves works well). If you set the light up without using gloves you are leaving your scent all over the light and thus you are reducing your chances of having pigs come in. You should also wear rubber boots so you don't leave a scent trail to your feeder. As far as color, green is a good choice because It's more about the pigs experience with light and there are a lot less green lights out there and green is easier to see than red to the human eye. If a pig has never had a bad experience with a green light they will probably come right in. The real fact is that no matter what light you use there is always a chance a hog will spook from it.

Any new thoughts on these lights. I had used some lights from Kevin Ryde?. The arent as bright as these seem to be. How far can you sit away from your feeder and still see through your scope? You guys use any special scopes?

These lights by EWT are worth a try. Although I never had a hog come under the light I could see good enough to shoot through a scope out close to 100 yards...I prefer RED light though...I have had great success with RED...

I'v got one on one of my feeders now and it is very bright compared to other lights. Ipicked up some photo eyes a few weeks ago from Chad and installed one on that light and Igot to tell you. With a standard 20watt solar panel and 7.5aH feeder batt, it is still going strong. The light shuts off during the day which gives the batt time to recharge and burns bright again the next night. It has been going stromg since. Iunfortunately have no hogs coming to my feeders.

Get ahold of Chad over there at www.elusivewildlifetechnologies.com (http://www.elusivewildlifetechnologies.com) and her will get you set up. He is a great guy to deal with and wants his customers to be happy with what they buy from him. He wants for the working guy to be able to afford a light that does what he wants it to do for a reasonable price and not break the bank. Happy hunting.............

looked at these lights on the net and watched the video - looks great and really good video showing the hogs....unfortunately they are on back order right now so will have to wait to see how well this works. For now will be using a simple spot light with a red lens cover to get after the hogs with. I have tested the distance of the light and it will reach out the 100 yrds or so i need to see the feeder and the 20+ hogs that are attacking it everynight. will see if can make it out there this weekend.

Just an FYI......there are bow and gun mounted lights available to provide some additional lighting, if you need it.
