It use to be a good hunt. This is the first year on a new ranch. When it was in Larado it was a fun hunt..Just got too big IMO.

I went to the original shoot out for probably 15 years straight and my dad who knows how many years before that. It was a blast but when it got so big you had to wait in a 5 mile long line on the side of the road from the night before just to get in in a reasonable time, it just went south.

I heard this year there is a 400 hunter limit. First 400 to sign up... I wont be attending though. For that kinda $ you can find a place for just your group.

You get a good group together and Allen and his wife Lori at Dos Plumas will give you the run of the place all to yourselves. They are some of the best people Ihave met in a long time and the accomidations are top notch.
