Thanks guys! That hog would of probably been the 2nd largest one I've taken out in Red Rock if it was confirmed....which sadly,.....it was not...http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/sad.gifhttp://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/sad.gifhttp://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/sad.gif.

I still can't tell if it was a boar or sow either. Just can't tell from the video....

I'm glad I was fortunate enough to get the video, but he/she took off like a wheelbarrow after the shot. The hog's front legs and head were dragging the ground as the back legs were motoring to get it outta there. Then after about 10 yds., everything on the critter started to work again and it ran under the fence onto another densly covered property. I waited awhile, then went to see if I could see anything over the fence and nothing, nada.

I reviewed the tape and you can see what I saw on it. It looked like I hit her/him right behind the ear, so it should of been a decent shot, but a decent shot in that area usually drops'em dead, so I can't be sure. I probably should of taken more time and waited fora hog that size to be competely broadside, so as to reduce the chances of bullet deflection, but hind site counts for nothing. Oh well, there's always more I guess. Going out there again tomorrow to see what shows up.... Wish me luck!!!http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/thumleft.gif
