finally - hog down

finally -- 2 sows for 2010. couldn'tcatch thesepigs on the farm, so i went up into the mountains and set up on a ridge, that leads down into the farm. just after sunset 4 sows and their piglets came down the ridge feeding. i was able to get 2 of the sows, one fell down to the bottom of the gulley, the other dropped in her tracks. i field dressed both, then came back wednesday morning to drag them out. it took almost 3 hours to get the hogs out to the closest trail.

Nice job, good looking sows, did you shoot them at night and what were you using?

they were shot with a .338 federal- 180 gr. nosler accubond,- they were shot just after sundown.

Nice hogs, sounds like you had alot of work getting them out.
