This being my first post on this forum....Howdy. I have been experimenting with different baits for several years using different products. I believe I have hit on a good one. I use 3 gallon cat litter jugs. Fill the jugs about 3/4 up with corn, add one pint of syrup and the rest with hot water and I set in my barn. I let it set for several months at a time. The smell is terrible. I have not been adding diesel because I pour it in feeder tubes that I have made. Usually it will harden in the tubes and take awhile for the hogs to get it all out because it will break off a little at a time. Went hunting last weekend and filled the feeder tubes with about 40 pounds of MIX. Didn't have time to harden and hogs cleaned it out in one night.

what type of syrup are you using? regular over the counter maple syrup? karo plain syrup? or home made water/sugar mix 1:1 syrup?
