I'm gonna post a few pics and you guys are encouraged to try to guess the weights of these bruisers.

It is very hard to guess the size of harvested hogs from pics. Camera angels can make small hogs look big sometimes, and can sometimes make large hogs look small. Plus several pics of the same hog are better than just one pic.



However I will take my guess at these hogs just to see how close I get.

i deffinitly have the weights on the first three but I may be confussing the last two with one of the others hanging in the background of pic 5 which was bigger than the others. I was kinda expecting you guys to guess higher because I see hogs all the time in magizines and online of hogs and it says things like 300 plus pounds and things like that when I know damn well from the pics that it is no where near that.

The first three of these hogs and the last two as well unless I am mistaken are all between 270 and 290 pounds with mine, pic # 2 being the lightest at 271. truthfully, i have yet to ever see a 300 pound boar or a 200 # sow. Of course I know that theyexist but they are much more rare than most peaple think.

When you see some even amount like "300 lb boar" next to it you know that is an estimate and I find they are usaully way over estimated.

You guys however did not over estimate at all and that is great, congradulations.

I figured that I'd be closer on the first 3, I don't estamate well on hanging hogs. I rarely ever hang any up, I normally just skin enough hair back to get the quarters and back straps on the ground. It's way easier that way by yourself.
