PIG PIPE LIGHTS!!!

I'll welcome any comments, pro or con. I got the idea for these from one of the websites. Fella' used this type of landscape light attached under his automatic feeder. The night before last they were out by 8:30 P.M., and I was ready to take them back to Wal-Mart. (2 for $20.00 Westinghouse) This morning they were still on at daybreak. A neighbor told me he bought the same ones for his mother-in-law and it was about a week for them to fully charge off of the solar panels. Plan to put a pin through the verticle piece of PVC (it's 5' long)http://texashoghunter.com/images/images/forum/emoticons/rolleyes.gifso I can slide it down 2 feet over the T stake driver in the ground to hold the Pig Pipe.

Sweet!!! If you replace the cheapo batteries most of those units come with with better quality rechargeable batteries, you will get a brighter, and longer shine as well. Hope it works out!

Agreed, Home Depot has some of the same kinds of light, but I think with more in the kit. Multipple spots is always a better way. That wind thing you know........................

I want to thank SirVival and txbhunter1 for your comments. I picked up another set of these Westinghouse landscape lights, today on the way home from work. I'm going to open them up and check to see what they have for batteries.

Thanks, Hogdude1234, figured a way to add one or two more lights without it becoming too cumbersome. I'll probably go with just one more in the center of the PVC T. By drilling a hole in the center of the T the same diameter as the base of the light. This way I can have one shining off each side and the center one facing my shooting position. I'll post pics when I get it finished. Then I'll build a second one for my other pipe. By the way, have you checked your messages lately?? Left a massage with Rob from Sniper Hog Lights, for you. That Destroyer light is out of this world, can't wait to use it on hogs in Texas or 'yotes here in Nevada.

Quick Question for you....What color light did you go with ( Sniper Hog Light) ?

uc1, I bought the Red light, I also bought a spare set of batteries. Got it mounted, but haven't had a chance to shoot my Mini-14 yet. Next Thur. night (16th) I'm leaving about 10:00 P.M. and driving North about 400 miles to scout the area where I drew a Mule Deer doe tag. I usually see 1 or 2 'yotes on the way, might get a chance to use it. Going to the gun range one day next week after work to see if mounting it changed my point of impact. I and several of my friends are really impressed at the quality and the brightness of the light. rob is a great guy to deal with.

Thanks for your responce, As I've stated before I have a hog hunt comming up this January. This will be my first night hunt and I'm still on the fence about what color light I'll need. I see that a lot of the regular hunters are using Red but green (to me) seems to be clearer. I know the outfitter has white solar lights on the feeders, but not sure how bright they are. So I was going to use the Sniper Light as a back up light. What do you regular hunters think?

I put a set of white solar lights on my feeder and painted the lens red with a marker pen.It seems like the hogs won't come near them,the corn under the feeder stacks up just the coons eat it.They don't seem to come feeder.I turned the light off.I have a great place to hunt and No hogs,very irratating.Chuck

I use the RED lights from SHL (Sniper Hog Lights). I have a Destroyer mounted on my rifle and a Mini Sniper on my bow. I have used a green Mini Sniper a time or two while stalking hogs and it worked too...but I have seen less of a reaction out of any wild animal with the RED LED lighting them up.
