All the big deer are off the feeders and on to the acorns. It's cool how fast they split the bachelor groups once the rubbing starts. I use Google Maps - Satellite and zoom in to about 50ft. You can see the deer travel routes plain as day. I print the sat. image at 200ft and use the computer to zoom in on the trails to mark in the printed map.

I use this to tweek my bow setups. I'll move the rest of the cameras to the most worn trails. The White & Red Oaks are pouring off acorns for the second year in a row. The deer are loving it.

I also use the sat. image to check for blinds, feeders or hunting camps on all the surrounding land for about a mile. I did find an old missle silo about 2 miles away.

I included the ranch view plus the enlarged area I will bow hunt. since the wind is south 10-15 this time of year, I have to mainly hunt the northeast side. All the dark green trees are oaks that run a creek thru the property. This is also where the pigs are when they come in. Most of the CRP is 3 to 6ft tall. We have not touched it in 15 plus years. The mesquite is really comming in. More habitat sanctuary.

9 days to bow season!

Allen, is this your place?

The sat. image is a little blurry and will only go down to 100ft.
