Springer, OK —
The rider of a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle that struck a wild hog on U.S. Highway 77 Wednesday night was airlifted from the scene taken to an Oklahoma City hospital.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the motoryclist’s name was not being immediately released pending the notification of family members.
The crash happened about 10:15 p.m. 3.2 miles north of Springer. The motorcycle was southbound on the highway when it collided with the wild hog. The motorcycle fell on its side and the driver slid for 60 feet.
According to OHP, the victim was taken to OU Medical Center where medical staff admitted him in what was described as stable condition.
