Itook a young lady fora hog hunt last weekend with Mike at Keechi Creek Outfitters. Ihad tried to get her one last yr at my place but the hogs did not cooperate. Icalled MIke and he was gracious enough to let us come out and try and get her one. She sat Sat night with my wife only seeing one way behind them that never came in and offered a shot. Isat with her Sun morning and after not seeing anything, Icalled Mike on the radio for him to come and get us. Just as he got close he called back saying there was a good boar headed our way. He came in close but offered no shot and dissappeared behind us in the thick brush. Once Mike and Waldo got close, Itold him where the hog went and they went in after it. It came running out right under the stand but again offered no shot. We got down and talked a bit and decided to go and take a look around the tank to see if maybe one was laying in or near the water. Waldo spotted one laying nearby and the stalk was on. We made our way around the tank and got in close for the shot. Mike let Emilie use his shoulder for a gun rest and once she was steady, she took the shot. The hog got up and went into the tank only to get almost all the way across before laying down. We moved back around to put the finishing shot into him as he was in the water.
