So I picked up a Barrett REC10 (.308) for slaying hogs. It's getting cerakoted right now so hopefully will see it in two, three weeks. Placed a Vortex PST 1-4x24 on it that I had sitting in my safe. Researching other options as far as optics. Have a wide selection of various ammo arriving Tuesday as well to try out in the rifle.

Curious what optics and ammo has worked best for y'all? Seems pretty much any 150gr soft point round tends to take down pretty much any hog that it encounters. With my neighbors lease I go to, most of the blinds are within 100yds so for optics I'm leaving towards a 1-8x with an illuminated reticle.

Just seeking others advice.
