Talon's Hyperventilator hog

My son Talon 7 years old has been after me to take him hunting, but I’ve been so busy with other things I couldn’t get him out. At the last minute this evening I told him we would go calling. We sat up on a new pipeline in hopes of calling a bobcat or coyote. After about 7 minutes calling a boar crossed the pipeline headed for a wallow. I told Talon I would try to call him to us. I quickly switched to the sow protection sound on my FOXPRO FX5. I wasn’t sure how he would react to the JIB {jack in the box decoy}. Within seconds the boar came back out of the timber about 90 yards away, actually further away than when he crossed the pipeline, he turned and headed our direction, Talon was hyperventilating at this point. As soon as the boar topped the rise and spotted the JIB he froze. Talon took aim with his New England .223 and missed! The boar just stood there mesmerized by the JIB. I quickly reloaded as the boar ran back to the timber. I kept the call going as the boar circled to try and get down wind of the call, he stepped out again at 20 yards, again totally focused on the JIB. Talon shot again still shaken and once again missed. As I was reloading the boar turned his attention to us, I was getting a bit nervous by now. Talon steadied now and shot again this time hitting the boar between the eyes, dropping him in his tracks and popping hie left eye out of its socket. I was relieved to say the least! This is Talon's first wild boar. The first Picture shows the JIB AND FX5 with the hog laying about 10 yards away. Talon approaches his boar. Talon points to the bullet hole. Talon with his boar.
