Jim and crew came to town last week for a little R & R.....Rest and Relaxation via Rooter Rehabilitation! It was a warm night, considering the past few days and it wasn't long before the hot lead was flying. The first stalk was out into a MUDDY cornfield....one that becamethe final resting place for the first three hogs of the night! We thought of everything before we started the stalk....except for the camera! We didn't get a picture of those three because nobody wanted to make the muddy trip to the Ranger and back.... oh well. A few minutes later we ran into a lone boar, cruising the pasture. We spotted each other about the same time. Hogs can run pretty past but bullets are faster! The guys made some nice shots to anchor the runner and Jim finished him off withthe hog leg in his shoulder holster! We headed toward the pecan orchard and spotted another lone boar, way off in the distance. After a LONG stalk, it was just like the song..."Another one bites the dust!" We barely got underway again and found another single....We're up to 6 now! It seemed like this was going to be a night for singles....because that's what we found next. Three of us stayed at the Ranger and the other two put his lights out. We drove out to him, took pictures, loaded him in the rack and were just about to put the Ranger in gear.....then spotted a group of 6. Another short stalk and they "let 'em have it!" When the smoke settled, 5 of the 6 were down! They wanted to carry some meat home, so we loaded the fourbest ones up and headed toward the truck. What a "Pile O' Pork!" Congrats Guys! 12 Hogs Down!
