    .223 wsm

    anybody had any experience with a ,223 wsm - had an ole boy offer me one for $400.00, gun- 1 box factory loads-3 box re-loads- dies {hornady}- sounded pretty good - the gun is a winchester- just don't hnow much about a souped up 223

    I googled 223 wsm but it didn't go through.it came up 223 wssm.I would do the same if I were you,lots of talk about barrels burning up in 350 rounds bullets exploding .I don't know anything about it but thats what I read..Good luck Chuck

    thanks for the info, it is a 223 wssm- i have heard the same from others- think i'm going to let this one go

    It is a brand new caliber from Winchester, I just bought the model 70 .243 WSSM and I love it, light weight sythetic. If you look up the prices they can run as high as $1000 dollars for that riffle, it's a short throw bolt action that packs some magnum power!!!
