264 wim mag

anyone have any dealings with a 264 win mag, i'm interested in buyin a ruger in that caliber, but would like to hear from someone who has shot or owns one. what ifo ihave found is that it is comparable to the 7 mm mag. any info will be appreciated

You need to watch KXII.com some good buys come out up here in Texoma land.Theres a 7 mag on there now that looks good.I sure don't need any more guns.Chuck

When I was younger I hunted with a 264 many times and had no problems droppin deer and hogs up to 250 pounds with it. I think now though finding ammo for it would be a bit of an issue unless you bought in bulk and possibly reloaded your own. STP
