Are you entering the Lone Star Wild Hog Tournament? 1st annual, runs Feb. 26-March 6th. Cash prizes to $1000 for most hogs taken in East Texas. You can hunt public or private land; check in points around 3 regions. Can use any legal hunting means & dogs ok. For more info see: nwft.org/texas/. Looks like fun. We will probably just hunt our own place. Would be fun to keep a running tally of how many our members got during this time. Anyone playing to participate?

Yeah, cost isn't much. We think it would be fun. Just don't have alot of hogs hanging around our place right now-good thing! Have seen a couple boars moving around the area-would love to get 1 or 2 of them. Wouldn't win any prizes but every tail counts! I gotta get a pic of a big boar downloaded we caught in our game camera-looks like a brown heifer w/ black legs! It is one big hog!

There are some good spots close to Osbourne Rd off of 1375. There is a little creek that runs under 1375 just east of Osbourne rd. There is a place to park directly next to the creek on the south side of the rd and the better hunting is on the north side.
