    hunting hogs in daylight

Any of you veteran hog hunters got some advice for hunting during the daylight? Coming in from MO to hunt up around Memphis, TX. Have always, (preferably) hunted at night, thought Id give a daylight hunt a try if possible. Is it best to stalk, stay put , etc. Love the country down there in that part ofyour state, maybe jus tbeing out in it is what im looking for. Can you contaminate your night time areaby walking out in thebrush? Thanks for your advice...

If you don't see sign don't waste your time stalking around for them,My hogs have moved away from one area and hitting another hard,I can't ever figure out what they are going to do next.If your are on a paid hunt they will probably know where they should show up.Good luck and shoot a pig for me.Chuck

I rely on my game cameras set up on corn feeders or bait piles. If I see I have hogs hitting them during the daylight hours, you can bet I will get in the stand early, ready to strike. Right now, with this nice Spring-like weather, the hogs seem to have too much energy. They are running around at all times of the day and not hitting the feeders during hunting hours. Once it gets hot, I think the hogs will be bedded up all day and then hit the feeders at night or right at dark.

I'd walk the water ways on rivers and creeks. Around tanks look on the shady side under the overhanging limbs of the tank. When its warm hogs will roll in the mud and water cool down and then lay in the mud under the overhangs to keep cool. Just be real quiet move slow and watch your step. STP
